Foreign Chambers welcome Government initiatives

October 4, 2016

The Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce of Thailand has welcomed the Thai Government’s planned increase in investment and concentration on improving connectivity. Stanley Kang, chairman of the JFCCT, said Thai investment in infrastructure has been too low in the past 10 years and that investors are looking forward to the change. The challenge, however, will be implementation. The government has a budget of about 1.41 trillion baht (USD40.66 billion) planned for 20 large infrastructure projects by 2022.
